Design Files 001: Well if you know me at all, or hit up the About Me page first, you know this is my initial bread-and-butter. This chapter of my life started when I was about ten years old, rearranging my bedroom with my cousin in the middle of the night so my dad wouldn’t get pissed off and be worried I would stretch the rug #rugbubblelife. Little did he know, even at 10y/o, I knew to lift and not drag the furniture. I was a very observant child, what can I say?
Fast forward a few years into interior design class in high school, to winning First In Show at my final presentation before receiving my Associates, to the big BFA leagues of Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). Interior Design has always been it.
However, one thing they don’t talk about in design school is the reality of the firm life. Working long days, sitting behind a desk, designing other’s visions, I quickly learned that wasn’t for me. A few short months down that road, I felt my love for design was fading and I couldn’t let that happen. And so I kind of stumbled into the world of production and event design. From a PA to Event Graphic Designer to Set Designing music videos and Lead Designer of my own events, it was definitely a riot and fun while it lasted!

2020 changed a lot of aspects to our world, and this was one of them. Events were DEAD. But I realize I learned a lot throughout all my design journeys. I also quickly remembered how above everything I valued my time and building memories over billing overtime.
SO… this brings us here. Where I will share the tried-and-true and what I know and love about everything interiors and design! This is my heart’s home, and since home is a fuzzy line during this chapter of my life, I am pouring all of that into here. A place for design projects, beautiful spaces and basically everything that deals with creating beautiful, functional and attainable digs. So welcome to… The Studio! 😉
